Karen has over 30 years’ Human Resources Management experience in the United States Army at every level from Company to Division G-1 and the United States Army Human Resources Command where she managed Career Advisors for the Army’s top enlisted Soldiers. Karen served as a Program Manager in the Army G-3/5/7 for over five years where she managed projects, programmed the budget, and wrote policy for the Army’s Intermediate Level Education, Captains Career Course, School of Advanced Military Studies, and Battalion and Brigade Pre-Command Courses. Karen played a major role in the project to transition the Army's Intermediate Level Education from Universal to Optimized Intermediate Level Education. Karen holds a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resource Management. Karen completed the Department of Defense Lean Six Sigma Course and is a Green Belt recipient. She also completed the Department of the Army Action Officer Training Course, How the Army Runs Course, and the Project Management Certificate Course at the Northern Virginia Community College.
John has over 20 years’ Human Relations/Compliance experience. He served over 32 years in the United States Army as a Signal professional and performed over 20 years as a Human Relations/Compliance professional. John is a graduate of the Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute and served as an Advisor to Army leaders at Battalion, Installation/Garrison and Army Service Component Command levels. As Senior Enlisted Advisor to the senior leaders of the Joint Task Force Global Network Operations, John conducted climate assessments at subordinate locations and provided results of the assessments to senior leaders. The results of the assessments led to the improvement of workforce morale and productivity. He served as a Sexual Harassment/Assault Response and Prevention (SHARP) facilitator where he conducted the 80 hour course for more than 500 military and Army civilians on behalf of the Army G-1. As the Senior Enlisted, John played a key role in the planning, directing and coordinating of the day-to-day operations for an operational Signal Battalion before, during and after a one year deployment to Iraq and later a strategic Signal Brigade. John holds two graduate degrees--a Master of Human Relations and a Master of Science in Human Resource Management-- and is a graduate of the National Defense University’s KEYSTONE Command Senior Enlisted Leader’s Course. He also completed the Project Management Certificate Course at the Northern Virginia Community College.
